Territorial Public Accounts · Prime Minister’s Office

The regions: who pays in and who receives.

Every region pays taxes and contributions and receives public spending: schools, pensions, hospitals, roads. The difference is called the fiscal residual. Here we calculate it from the Territorial Public Accounts (Conti Pubblici Territoriali), the official database of the Prime Minister’s Office, and set it beside the State spending by region published by BDAP.
